Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

How do I handle rejection without it crushing me?

How do I handle rejection without it crushing me?

Rejection is hard because it feels personal.

Whether it’s:

  • someone you like

  • a team

  • an opportunity

it’s easy to take it as proof that something is wrong with you.

But rejection usually says more about:

  • fit

  • timing

  • circumstances

than it does about your worth.

That doesn’t mean it won’t hurt. It probably will. The key is not letting that moment turn into a label about who you are.

Instead of:
👉 “I got rejected, so I’m not good enough”

Try to see it as:
👉 “That didn’t work out—and I can learn from it, but it doesn’t define me”

From a faith perspective, your value isn’t decided by people accepting or rejecting you. It’s already established.

Practically, it helps to:

  • give yourself time to feel it instead of pretending it didn’t matter

  • not isolate yourself

  • keep putting yourself in situations where you can grow

Rejection doesn’t mean stop. It means keep going, just not in the exact same way.

👉 If rejection has been hitting you hard, you can talk about it here.
